Chanel Stryker-Boykin is a certified holistic doula, community childbirth and lactation educator, owner of In Joie’s Arms Birth Doula Services, LLC, an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor, a volunteer support group facilitator for Postpartum Support International, and the Perinatal Workforce Development & Education Coordinator at Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies coalition of Georgia. Chanel is a Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice advocate. She is committed to amplifying the voices of Black birthing people in the state of Georgia, providing evidence-based education to empower families in making informed decisions, and advocating for maternal health equity to improve Black maternal health outcomes.
Chanel was called to this work from birth. Being a mother is what brings her the most Joie and peace, not just mothering her own three children, but all those who need maternal support. She fulfills this duty through caring for families during their most vulnerable time-as they enter parenthood. True to her birth order, she also enjoys being a "big sis" to young women who she is called to mentor. When Chanel isn't serving her community she enjoys spending time with her favorite people in the whole world, her husband and three boys.
